BattleTech is set in a rich fictional future universe where humanity has spread to the stars and spawned titanic interstellar Great Houses, each controlling hundreds of world across more than a thousand light-years. In this new age, when man goes to war he does so in a BattleMech: a twelve-meter tall walking avatar of death, bristling with enough weapons and armor to level an entire city. Piloted by skilled MechWarriors, these titans of the battlefield run the razor’s edge between legend and destruction, with their skill and luck determining the fate of empires!
Sometimes jokingly referred to as “Battle Math,” BattleTech is a turn-based, table-top wargame where players will field one or more BattleMech miniatures and fight it out until the victory conditions are met. Your goal might be defending or destroying a certain target. Or maybe you’re trying to capture or hold a certain piece of terrain as in an objective raid. Or maybe you’re just slugging it out for fun until there is only one ‘Mech left standing.
